The 2nd Annual sjkid FAIR was held May 1st, 2010, 10 am-4pm, at The Saint John Trade and Convention Centre at Market Square. This Free FAIR saw many families turn out for a day of fun, information and entertainment. We hope to see you all next year!
Why The Annual sjkid FAIR? After fredkid.com (sjkid.com sister site) was launched in Fredericton, HFHCA was asked how they would support families that did not have computers or access to the internet. HFHCA then developed the Annual FredKid FAIR, held every Mother’s Day weekend. At this FAIR, families would be able to connect to all of the major organizations and businesses that offer resources or services to local families. After attending the annual FAIR, families would be able to say, “This is what my community has to offer for families.” Over 5000 attended the 3rd Annual FAIR held on May 8-9, 2009 and showcased over 80 booths and 35 activities for families to enjoy. The 4th Annual fredkid FAIR will be held May 8 2010. HFHCA designed the sjkid FAIR to give our community that same opportunity. With almost 5000 people attending the event on May 2nd, 2009, we achieved our goal. Saint John families now can say, "This is what are great community has to offer families".
